Dnipro City Council deputy Ruslan Vyshnevetskyi registered a fictitious business trip and vacationed in Greece for more than two weeks, the National Police of Ukraine reported.
According to the investigation, in June 2023, Vyshnevetsky, who also heads the city's district administration, issued a business trip with knowingly false information about its purpose and route. Under the guise of a trip to Hungary for official meetings, the deputy crossed the state border, after which he went to Austria, and later to the island of Rhodes in the Hellenic Republic. He stayed there with his family for more than two weeks, without performing any official tasks.
"The official left Ukraine on the basis of documents that contained inaccurate information," the police noted.
Based on the evidence collected, investigators informed Ruslan Vyshnevetsky of suspicion of official fraud and abuse of office.
