The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, gave an interview to the British publication The Times, during which she shared her thoughts on the life of Ukrainians in wartime, the education of children, and the fight for their return. Zelenska published photos taken during the conversation with the journalist on Instagram.
In her post, she emphasized that the contrast between daily shelling and ordinary city life always surprises foreign guests. At the same time, this is exactly the reality for Ukrainians - the war continues, but life does not stop.
"The contrast between shelling and city life always strikes foreign journalists. But Ukrainian life in the conditions of defending the country has both sides, and only someone who has shared this experience with Ukrainians can at least somewhat understand what it's like to go to work after another Russian attack," the first lady wrote.
The Times journalist attended the 5th Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, which was recently held in Kyiv. Despite the threat of shelling and air raids, representatives from many countries attended the event. Olena Zelenska noted that such support is extremely important. During the interview, Zelenska talked about the educational process in Ukrainian schools today. In some regions, children study remotely, and in others - in underground shelters. She paid special attention to the issue of Ukrainian children illegally taken away by Russia, for whose return Ukraine continues to actively fight.
At the interview, Olena Zelenska appeared in a restrained business look. She was dressed in a black suit consisting of trousers and a windbreaker, complemented by a black belt-lace. The look was completed with black shoes, a gold brooch in the shape of a trident on the lapel and laconic earrings. Her hair was styled with a side parting, and her makeup was done in delicate natural shades.
