The head of the department for preventing financial transactions related to the legalization of proceeds from crime, the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Odessa region, Anna Yuriivna Yashina, came to the attention of journalists because of her declaration. The official does not own real estate, but she owns an expensive Audi A6 car, which at market prices costs over 700 thousand hryvnias.
Yashina lives in Odessa with her daughter Sofia. There is no information about her husband or other family members. She is a member of the National Bar Association of Ukraine.
According to the declaration, the official uses an apartment with an area of 86 m² and a parking space owned by Iryna Georgievna Yashina — presumably her mother. The apartment and parking space are registered to a relative, but Hanna has the right to use it free of charge. The market value of the apartment is estimated at 1.7–2.2 million UAH, and the parking space — up to 200 thousand.
The most questions are raised by the 2015 Audi A6, issued under a preliminary purchase and sale agreement with citizen Andriy Seleznyov. According to the documents, the car cost 719 thousand hryvnias - however, the market price of such cars may be higher. It remains unclear why the tax officer used the car without immediately becoming its full owner, and who the seller is.
The total family income for 2024 was 692 thousand hryvnias, of which 80 thousand was assistance from the grandmother. Against this background, the purchase of a premium car looks, at least, dubious.
Journalists emphasize that it is Yashina who heads the unit that is supposed to combat the laundering of proceeds from crime.
