Kyiv police search for missing 9-year-old boy: he was found in a pond 7 km from home

In Kyiv, police officers quickly searched for a 9-year-old boy who had disappeared from home the day before. The child was found in a pond on the border with Kyiv region, 7 kilometers from his place of residence. The boy was very scared, but physically unharmed. After being examined by doctors, he was handed over to his parents.

A missing person report was filed with the Darnytsia Police Department. According to the mother, while she was resting, her son, who has developmental disabilities, left the apartment on his own and unnoticed.

All available forces of the territorial police unit were involved in the search for the child. Law enforcement officers combed yards, playgrounds, abandoned buildings, parks, and the forest park zone.

As a result of a large-scale search operation, the boy was found in a pond, in dirty water. He was immediately pulled to shore. A medical examination revealed no threats to the child's life or health.

The police took the boy home and handed him over to his family. The police note that the incident ended safely thanks to the quick response and coordinated work of all services.
