In Kyiv, communal land continues to be abused. Another example is the market "Troyeshchyna-Fermer", which actually functions as a spontaneous bazaar, creating criminal risks, unsanitary conditions and transport collapse. Despite Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko's statements about the "European capital", the city authorities have turned a blind eye for years to the actual transformation of land allocated for administrative infrastructure into chaotic trade.
The key figure in this scheme is Anatoliy Karpenko, a longtime associate of Klitschko and co-founder of Polyus. His family systematically obtains land plots without holding auctions, at low rates, and extends leases without fulfilling the conditions.
At the same time, the company "POLUS" demonstrates profitability of over 7000% and controls land in various districts of the capital. In fact, the scheme has turned communal land into a source of private enrichment.
After publications about the "Troyeshchyna-Fermer" market, Kyiv residents are massively expressing indignation and distrust of the actions of the city authorities. People note that similar "bazaar" schemes operate not only in Troyeshchyna, but also in other districts of the capital.
