The premises of the National Opera and Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko is not planned to be disconnected from the electricity supply, despite the strict fan shutdowns applied in the capital.
As the experts interviewed by our publication explain, the reason may be the fact that the National Opera is connected to the premises of the SBU, and the theater named after Ivan Franko to the premises of the President's Office.
However, according to our sources, the reason may also be that severe shutdowns in the capital are a "picture" for visitors to the peace summit, which will be held in Switzerland on June 15. According to our sources close to the organizers of the summit, the "capital in the dark" is supposed to show the consequences of the shelling of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine as a social catastrophe and crimes committed by the Russian Federation against the civilian population.
In support of this version, there is also the official statement of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, according to which the Financial Times article entitled " Russia has destroyed more than half of Ukraine's energy industry " "has signs of an information and psychological operation (IPSO), is manipulative and promotes enemy narratives."
Thus, in its official statement, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine refutes the significant damage to the energy system of Ukraine and the critical need for severe fan shutdowns in the capital.
