The new head of the Transcarpathian Employment Center and regional council deputy from the Servant of the People party, Edgar Tokar, has found himself in the spotlight after publishing a detailed declaration of income and property. According to the submitted documents, the official owns a significant amount of cash, real estate, and vehicles, which attracts public interest against the background of officially low income.
In his declaration, Tokar listed $21,000, €17,000, and UAH 950,000 in cash. He also declared the sale of real estate worth over UAH 3 million, which was reflected in the notification of significant changes in property status.
The deputy's real estate is concentrated mainly in Mukachevo. Among the declared properties: two apartments - with an area of 89.3 m² and 150.3 m², purchased in 2016–2017 for 48.5 thousand UAH and 138.5 thousand UAH, respectively. Tokar also owns 25% of a land plot with an area of 887 m², worth 69 thousand UAH at the time of purchase.
His wife Alina is a co-owner of a land plot in the village of Znyatsevo and part of an unfinished cafe, and also rents a non-residential building with an area of almost 260 m² in Synevyrska Polyana, which belongs to the State Property Fund.
The family's fleet also looks impressive. In 2022, Tokar purchased a Mazda CX-9 for UAH 216,000. His wife owns a Mazda CX-7, a Fiat Punto, and the declaration also includes a Suzuki Swift and a Renault Megan. At the end of October, another car appeared in the declaration — a Volkswagen Passat, purchased for UAH 491,000.
At the same time, Tokar himself indicated an official income of UAH 67,000 for work at the employment center. His wife received about UAH 271,000 per year - from rent, insurance payments, and state benefits.
Some significant changes in property status were reported during October: the sale of real estate for UAH 3.03 million, the purchase of a car, and the sale of movable property.
Edgar Tokar is one of the prominent regional politicians of Transcarpathia: he is a member of the boards of local public organizations, was a candidate for deputy from the "Servant of the People" party, and currently represents the faction in the regional council.
