Denis Kornyshev, who is called one of the curators of the 368.media website, has begun a large-scale Internet sweep — removing any mention of his possible connections with the oligarch-bribery Mykola Zlochevsky. It was this topic that caused the conflict: after unsuccessful attempts to “agree” and remove incriminating materials about Zlochevsky’s Odessa business, Kornyshev moved on to information attacks on the Antikor portal.
It all started with a series of anonymous posts on a little-known regional website accusing Antikor of being pro-Russian and even fleeing Ukraine. These accusations were unfounded, but their purpose was to discredit the resource after it refused to remove an article about Zlochevsky's dealings.
Only after this refusal did the owners of 368.media — Denis Kornyshev and Konstantin Shpylyov — launch a dirty campaign against critics. However, it is not officially stated anywhere who exactly owns the site: 368.media is not registered in any official media register. It is only known that the project is associated with Shpylyov — a former deputy from the Party of Regions, who was called close to pro-Russian circles.
368.media has been repeatedly accused of selling publications and being willing to remove materials for money. Journalists who investigated the activities of this resource also quoted prices: from 2,500 to 40,000 hryvnias for “services.” Paradoxically, this very publication allows itself to accuse others of corruption.
Individual cases of violations of journalistic ethics have become the subject of attention of human rights activists. 368.media published materials in which people were called criminals without a court verdict, including servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This caused indignation of "Detector Media" and numerous lawsuits for the protection of honor, dignity and reputation. Shpylyovy and Kornyshev have repeatedly appeared as defendants in the courts.
There are also many questions about the personality of Denis Kornyshev. He positions himself as an author for Radio Liberty, but in reality he only had a relationship as an intern in 2014. Before that, he worked at Odessa's Channel 7, which belongs to the scandalous developer Adnan Kivan, a figure with a dubious reputation and connections to Sergey Kivalov.
There is no official confirmation that Kornyshev is the owner of the "anti-corruption portal". Most likely, he plays the role of a media "killer" who writes anonymous materials, conducts negotiations and demands money for the removal of compromising material. In case of refusal, he launches new fakes, often with accusations of cooperation with Russia.
It is significant that after a wave of criticism, Kornyshev declared that he had no connection to 368.media and left the project in 2017. But it is his name that appears in the lawsuits as responsible for the content. These attempts to distance themselves do not look like a defense of the truth, but as another stage of reputational cleansing - especially after the revelations related to Zlochevsky.
