The Sviatoshynskyi District Court of Kyiv has chosen a preventive measure for Olga Prylipko, deputy head of the Gostomel District Military Administration. The court ordered detention with the alternative of posting bail of about one million hryvnias. After the decision was announced, the official was taken under escort to a pre-trial detention center.
Prylipka is suspected of large-scale abuses in the distribution of funds allocated for the restoration of Gostomel's infrastructure damaged by hostilities. According to the investigation, she organized a scheme to embezzle or misuse funds, which led to significant financial losses during restoration work.
The court session was held behind closed doors; journalists were prohibited from taking photos and videos. Law enforcement officials reported that the suspicion was the result of additional facts being discovered, and further investigation is ongoing. Other officials who may have been involved in the transactions during the distribution and use of budget funds for reconstruction are also being checked.
The investigation continues: investigators are clarifying the extent of the damage, the involvement of contractors, and the mechanisms through which the funds were distributed. Judicial and procedural actions will continue, and if the official is found guilty, criminal consequences await him in accordance with current legislation.
