Police have charged three more underage girls who were involved in the attack on artists of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Song and Dance Ensemble "Hutsuliya". The girls are schoolgirls aged 15 and 17, and administrative reports have been drawn up for petty hooliganism and drinking alcoholic beverages.
The incident occurred on December 7 at a gas station in Sheptytskyi. The company, which included both adults and minors, had a conflict with the ensemble's artists who were returning from a tour of Poland and Finland. According to law enforcement, six men and three women entered the bus that had stopped at the gas station and began beating the passengers.
As a result of the attack, one of the artists suffered a fracture, and several others received bruises and abrasions. The injured were provided with medical assistance.
Initially, the police detained two men, aged 18 and 20, as well as a 21-year-old student at a local school. The court chose for them a preventive measure in the form of house arrest. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing under several articles of the Criminal Code, including hooliganism.
On December 13, law enforcement officials reported that they had identified three more minor participants in the conflict. Administrative reports were drawn up against one of the 17-year-old girls under Art. 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism) and Art. 178 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (drinking alcoholic beverages). Reports were also drawn up against the parents or legal representatives of the teenagers under Art. 184 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (failure to fulfill parental duties), as well as against the persons who purchased and handed over alcohol to the minors under Art. 180 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (inducing a minor to a state of intoxication).
