Islam Abazov, the deputy head of one of the departments of the Poltava Central Administrative Court, was found guilty of illegally using official access to state registers and selling land cadastre data. At the same time, the court sentenced him to imprisonment, but released him from serving it with a probationary period.
As the court found, the official used access to closed state databases to transfer information about land owners to private companies for a fee. This concerns several episodes that took place in August-September 2024. In total, the court proved that he received 9.5 thousand hryvnias for such actions.
By a court verdict of March 23, 2026, Abazov was sentenced to four years in prison. However, he was released from actually serving the sentence, setting a probationary period of two years.
In addition, the court ordered the man to transfer 15 thousand hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as compensate more than 7 thousand hryvnias for the costs of conducting examinations.
At the same time, after the verdict was announced, questions arose about the official's future status. The very next day, March 24, Abazov filed an annual declaration, not the declaration before his dismissal.
This may indicate that as of the end of March, he formally remains in his position in the ASN system, despite the fact of illegal use of his official position established by the court.
