Journalists from MediaDokaz found out that the wife of the deputy head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Maksym Kalinin, Iryna Kalinina, received more than 5.8 million hryvnias in income from the hotel business in 2024. The source of the profit was the Gluhoman complex near Poltava, associated with former law enforcement officer Vladyslav Rudenko.
According to journalists, Iryna Kalinina may be a relative of Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Oleg Tatarov - they were born in the same city, have a common maiden name and connections with law enforcement.
Iryna Kalinina's individual entrepreneur declared income of 5.81 million hryvnias, although she did not own or rent a single hotel room. She herself is listed as a service provider in Glukhomani, but her contact details match those of Rudenko's companies.
Analysts note that such income is possible only if the hotel is fully occupied and a high commission is paid, which raises suspicions of money laundering schemes. In addition, the law requires officials to declare the property of family members if it is used for business, so Maxim Kalinin's declaration should have indicated these assets.
Kalinin himself stated in a comment to Poltava Region that his wife's activities are reflected in the declaration, taxes are paid, and he sees no violations. After the publication of the investigation, the mention of Irina Kalinina disappeared from the official website of the Glukhoman complex, only the abbreviation "FOP" remained.
