The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has begun beta testing a new feature in the Reserve+ application, which will allow parents with many children to apply for a deferment from mobilization online, regardless of marital status.
From now on, all minor children under the age of 18 will be taken into account during the verification, regardless of whether they were born in the same marriage or in different ones. Previously, the option of applying for a deferral online was available only to those parents who had three or more children born within the same official marriage.
The Ministry of Defense explains that the new approach is aimed at eliminating restrictions that did not take into account the real life circumstances of families. The system will automatically check information through state registers, including data on children and the presence of arrears in the Unified Register of Debtors.
If the debt exceeds the amount of payments for three months or incorrect data is found in the registers, the deferral will not be granted. In this case, the applicant must first settle the financial obligations and update the information.
At first, the feature will be available only to users on the beta tester list. Once testing is complete, the service is planned to be opened to all parents with many children.
The registration procedure is carried out entirely in electronic format. The user submits a request in the application, the system checks the grounds, and if confirmed, information about the postponement is displayed in the electronic military registration document. Typically, the processing of the application takes from several minutes to several hours.
The department emphasizes that digitalization of the process allows for increased transparency, minimizing the human factor, and reducing the burden on territorial procurement centers.
