According to sources, the Prosecutor General's Office, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, is preparing a report of suspicion against Minister Viktor Lyashko. The matter concerns the possible misuse of public funds and schemes related to the alienation of sanatoriums in favor of individuals close to the ministry's leadership.
According to law enforcement sources, investigators are examining a number of financial transactions related to the reorganization of sanatoriums and resorts that were under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health. The issue is the possible transfer of state facilities for use to private structures associated with representatives of the ministry.
According to sources, the investigation has been ongoing for several weeks. The investigation is examining contracts worth tens of millions of hryvnias, as well as documents related to the use of international aid funds in the medical sector.
Amid the investigation, insiders say that the President's Office is already considering options to replace Lyashko. Among the main candidates is his current deputy, Ihor Kopacz, who could temporarily head the Ministry of Health in the event of the removal or resignation of the current minister.
