The state enterprise "Center for the Protection of the Information Space of Ukraine" has commissioned the creation of a documentary film entitled "How the Cossacks Went to Kurshchyna." 2.3 million hryvnias have been allocated from the budget for its production, Glavkom reports.
The film will tell about the preparation and conduct of the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The film also plans to show the reasons why Ukrainian units later left the occupied territory.
According to the authors, the main goal of the film is to inspire the military, demonstrate the courage of Ukrainian defenders, and prove that Ukraine is capable of acting effectively even outside its own territory.
The project should be completed by December 20 of this year.
The news sparked lively discussions on social media. Some users support the idea, considering it important for raising morale, while others criticize it, noting that such expenses are inappropriate in a time of war. MP Oleksiy Honcharenko made an ironic comment: “It seems that we have enough money,” recalling that the General Staff recently presented a two-part film on a similar topic.
Despite the controversy, the creation of the documentary demonstrates the state's intention to develop the information front and preserve the memory of the events that became a symbol of the determination of the Ukrainian military.
