According to our sources in the Ukrainian special services, security forces do not rule out attempts to carry out a mass terrorist attack during the funeral ceremony of former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy.
Also, according to the source, contacts are being made through the special services with the leader of European Solidarity, Petro Poroshenko, regarding the coordination of the details of the place and conditions for the funeral of Andriy Parubiy.
In this context, it is worth noting that representatives of embassies, including the United States, will be present at the funeral of Andriy Parubiy. Petro Poroshenko believes that the presence of diplomats at the event should guarantee its security.
According to preliminary information already published in the media, the farewell ceremony for Andriy Parubiy will begin on Monday, September 1, at 7:00 PM at the St. George's Archcathedral Cathedral with a parastas (funeral service). And the next day, that is, on Tuesday, September 2, the funeral service will begin at noon at the same St. George's Cathedral.
As a reminder, on August 30 at 12:00 in the Frankivsk district of Lviv, former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy was shot dead. On the night of August 31 to September 1, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the killer of Andriy Parubiy was detained in the Khmelnytskyi region.
