After Solomiya Opryshko took off her mask and revealed herself as Klavdia Petrivna, the singer's popularity came under pressure from critics. Vocal teachers criticized her for her poor technical skills, and fans actively discussed her stage looks. Despite this, the artist continues to tour Ukraine and perform abroad.
Klavdia Petrovna's work has already been appreciated by the leader of the Okean Elzy band, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk. According to him, he first heard about the singer thanks to First Lady Olena Zelenska, who quoted her in her speech.
“ I think: who is this? I really like the idea, the sound and in general all of it. But it smells a little like a desire to please me. Too conceptual and produced for me. Although this is my personal feeling ,” shared Vakarchuk.
However, the musician emphasized that he considers Klavdia Petrivna an important cultural phenomenon. “ The more hype there is around new Ukrainian names, the more unexpected sounds and quality marketing, the better. This creates a backdrop for the entire culture ,” the OE frontman summed up.
Vakarchuk added that he evaluates young artists not as an experienced musician, but as an ordinary listener, for whom the appearance of new names is always interesting.
