This weekend, December 7 and 8, the weather in Ukraine will be wet and changeable. Wet snow, rain and ice will cover most regions, but warm air masses will noticeably raise the temperature background. It will be especially comfortable in the south and in Crimea, where the temperature will rise to +14 °C, forecaster Ihor Kibalchych reported.
Saturday: wet snow and first signs of warming
In western Ukraine, wet snow is expected in the afternoon, which will turn into rain. In the Carpathians, -1…-5 °C during the day, in the lowlands -1…+4 °C. Morning fog and ice can be dangerous for drivers.
Heavy precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain is also expected in the north. Temperatures will range from -1 to +4 °C. The situation on the roads is difficult due to ice and fog.
The central regions will experience cloudy weather with rain and drizzle. The wind is moderate, the temperature during the day will reach +1...+6 °C.
The south will be the warmest part of the country. Daytime temperatures will rise to +7…+12 °C, and in Crimea the air will warm up to +14 °C. The wind is strong in places, with gusts up to 15-17 m/s.
Eastern Ukraine will remain under the influence of dry weather. The daytime temperature will be within -2…+3 °C, but icy roads are expected.
Sunday: rain in the west, dryness in the east and warm Crimea
It will rain in the west during the day, wet snow is possible in the mountains. The daytime temperature will remain at +1...+6 °C, but ice and fog will persist.
In the north, precipitation is expected only at night and in the morning. The air temperature will remain within -1…+4 °C.
The central regions will spend Sunday without precipitation. The daytime temperature will be +1...+6 °C, and the wind will remain moderate.
Southern regions will welcome Sunday with mostly dry weather, rain is possible only in Crimea and Odessa region. In the afternoon, thermometers will show +5…+10 °C, and in Crimea – up to +14 °C.
The east will remain without precipitation. The temperature will range from -2 to +3 °C, but the wind will increase to 9-14 m/s.
Forecasters are warning of a significant increase in southeasterly winds, especially on Saturday. Icy conditions are expected on roads in most regions, creating a hazard for both drivers and pedestrians.
