In the Rivne region, law enforcement officers have declared a suspicion against the director of a municipal enterprise, who has been overstating the cost of solid waste removal services for several years in a row. The regional prosecutor's office reported this.
The investigation found that the company served a neighboring community, but the monthly acceptance reports did not indicate the actual amount of garbage removed. Instead, the director signed documents with a fixed amount — 1/12 of the annual contract value.
As a result of such actions, the community systematically paid for services in an inflated amount. According to experts, the total amount of losses exceeded 1.3 million UAH.
The official has now been reported on suspicion of abuse of office. The case is being investigated under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office.
