According to our sources, at a secret meeting of the "coalition of the determined" in Spain, the issue of deploying a peacekeeping contingent on the territory of Ukraine will be discussed.
At the same time, our sources in the EU report that the "coalition of the determined" currently has "neither a clear deployment plan, nor a decision on funding, nor the number of contingents, nor security guarantees for its people."
So the only issue that will be discussed at the meeting in Spain is “the possible status and mandate of the peacekeepers.”
At the same time, since none of the coalition countries is currently ready to send their military as peacekeepers to the territory of Ukraine, there will be a minimum of information for the press.
Our source also reports that the coalition of the determined is of the opinion that a decision on a peacekeeping mission will not be made in 2025.
As a reminder, the Spanish publication El Mundo reported that the meeting of the "coalition of the determined" scheduled for November 4, with the participation of 35 countries, where further support for Ukraine will be discussed, "will be held behind closed doors and without mobile phones."
In turn, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry denies that the next meeting of the “coalition of the determined” in Spain will be “secret.” “There will be nothing secret or extraordinary at the meeting. Foreign media outlets have incorrectly reported the information. This will be a regular meeting with an appropriate agenda,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Tykhy.
