The top management of the concern in the Zhytomyr region supplied the Russian defense industry with barrier systems - DBR

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) detained two top managers of a concern from the Zhytomyr region that supplied barrier systems to enterprises of the defense and industrial complex of the Russian Federation.

In the telegram channel of the SBU on Wednesday, it is noted that over the past six months, the bureau, together with the SBU, has exposed and stopped the activity of the second concern that continued to supply the Russian military industry. "It has been established that a group of companies from the Zhytomyr region supplied enterprises of the defense and industrial complex of the Russian Federation with barrier systems used in the aggressive war against Ukraine," the report reads.

According to the information of the department, before the start of the war, the concern belonged to an entrepreneur who left Ukraine a few days before the start of the war, and after the invasion re-registered the property to controlled persons who continued to work from the Russian Federation. "The new owners of the concern established supply through controlled foreign and Russian companies-gaskets. It was these companies that sent "orders" to the Ukrainian manufacturer allegedly for the needs of a third party. During 2022 alone, the persons involved delivered to Russia several batches of relevant products worth more than $1.5 million," the bureau emphasizes.

At the end of December 2023, employees of the SBI and the SBU conducted searches of the premises of the concern and the residences of its top managers, the investigative bureau seized items and documents that testify to the operational activities of the concern's enterprises on the territory of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

"Currently, two top managers of the concern have been detained, who were suspected of committing deliberate actions aimed at helping the aggressor state , committed by an organized group under Part 3 of Art. 28, Part 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine", the SBI informs.

The notification specifies that at least three more members of the group, including its organizer, are outside Ukraine - they will be notified of the suspicion in absentia. Currently, the issue of seizure of enterprise property and its transfer to ARMA is being resolved.
