On Sunday, May 18, a deadly road accident occurred on the Kiev-Chop highway. Kia Cerato and Iveco truck collided near Krasiv in the Stryi district of Lviv region. The accident was killed by a 36-year-old car driver and his five-year-old passenger was injured.
This was reported in the police of Lviv region.
According to investigators, Kia Cerato, led by a resident of Stryi district, collided with a truck Iveco, led by a 37-year-old resident of Rivne region. The blow was so strong that the driver of the car was killed at the scene. His five -year passenger with injuries was hospitalized.
An investigative team, rescuers and doctors worked at the scene. All the circumstances of the collision are now being clarified.
Upon the accident, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - a violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the death of a person. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years, with a possible deprivation of the right to drive vehicles.
