In the Lviv region, the police are investigating the circumstances of the death of two men whose bodies were found in an unfinished house. One of them, according to preliminary data, died as a result of a grenade explosion, while the other died of natural causes after prolonged consumption of alcohol.

According to the police, on October 8, around 1:00 p.m., an explosion occurred in an unfinished house located in one of the villages of the Sambir district.
"In one of the rooms of the house, law enforcement officers found the body of the owner, a 40-year-old local resident, without signs of life. It was established that he received fatal injuries as a result of the explosion of a grenade, which he himself detonated," the message reads.
Based on this fact, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note "suicide", as well as part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The police are establishing the origin of the ammunition.
"In addition, in another room of the house, the law enforcement officers found the body of a 38-year-old fellow villager who died - without signs of life and without signs of violent death. It was established that he and the owner of the unfinished building had been drinking alcohol for several days in a row," the report states.
Criminal proceedings have been opened for this fact under part 1 of article 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note "natural death".
Investigations are being conducted, expert examinations have been ordered.
