Trump and his position on military aid to Ukraine: "Yes. Definitely. Of course."

During an interview with NBC News, former US President Donald recently gave answers that led to discussions of Trump's future policy towards Ukraine. Asked whether his administration would reduce military aid to Ukraine upon his return to the White House, Trump said curtly: “Yes. Definitely. Of course".

This follows from the transcription of the interview of the US president-elect on the TV channel's website.

He also touched again on the topic of huge sacrifices, due to which the war must be stopped. According to the Republican, "hundreds of thousands on both sides" died.

"Russia probably lost 500,000 (yesterday Trump announced 600,000 Russian losses - Ed.). Ukraine lost more than they say, probably 400,000. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of bodies lying in the fields. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen and it should never have happened. Biden should have stopped it," Trump said.

He compared the level of losses in Ukraine and Russia to the Second World War.

"People are dying in this war on such a scale that no one has ever seen. Like during World War II, mostly soldiers. Cities are devastated and destroyed. The country is destroyed," he explained why the war in Ukraine must be stopped.

Trump also said that Europe should finance Ukraine, not the USA.

"We are investing $350 billion. And Europe - $100 billion. Why doesn't Europe contribute as much as we do? This is what should happen: Europe should catch up with us," he said.

"Europe contributes only a small part. And the war with Russia is more important for Europe than for us. It is important for everyone, but it is more important for Europe than for us. We have one small thing - an ocean between us," Trump added.
