Trump: Ukraine will send Patriot systems but nothing will be free

US President Donald Trump has declared its intention to transfer the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complexes to Ukraine, which, he said, is "absolutely needed" by the Ukrainian army. He told reporters on July 13 at Andrews's military base, Reuters .

"We will send Patriot because Putin really surprised many people. He says well, and then in the evening everyone will bomb. But there is a small problem. I don't like it," Trump said.

Although he did not name the exact number of complexes, the President of the United States assured that the "number" of the air defense systems will still be transferred, and the costs of them will be reimbursed by the European Union.

"We are going to send them various samples of very complex military equipment. They will pay us 100%for it, and this is what we want," Trump stressed.

It is expected that on July 14, he will make a separate statement about the "aggressive" military assistance plan to Ukraine, which, according to Axios , can also include long -range missiles.

In addition, Donald Trump's meeting with the new NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will be held this week, where the situation in Ukraine will be among the key topics.

On the eve of July 13, the Republican Senator Lindsey Graham announced a record in terms of weapons supply for the Armed Forces. He also stated that the United States could impose new sanctions not only against Russia, but also against its partners - China, India and Brazil.
