Three officials of Ukrzaliznytsia are suspected of embezzling ₴8.7 million of state funds

The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine disclosed the fact that four officials, including the director of one of the enterprises, were suspected of committing a crime related to the embezzlement of 8.7 million hryvnias of state funds.

According to the Bureau's report, the company won the tender for the supply of linings for rails in the amount of 8.7 million hryvnias, but the goods provided did not meet the established standards and technical requirements. This led to significant losses for the state.

Based on the analysis and examination carried out by the Bureau, it was established that the actions of the suspects led to the specified financial losses. It is noted that the detectives of the Bureau discovered this crime thanks to cooperation with the Territorial Department of the BEB in the Lviv region.

In addition, a case of duty evasion in the amount of more than 7.5 million hryvnias was also revealed, where the company tried to import new goods, passing them off as used.
