Kyiv law enforcement officers have sent criminal proceedings to court against a 39-year-old private notary and her 45-year-old girlfriend, who are accused of illegal actions with state electronic registers.
As reported by the police, the investigation established that the notary, having left Ukraine, did not suspend her official activities. She transferred access to the notary's office to her unemployed friend, providing her with personal logins and passwords for entering state electronic systems.
During the approximately one and a half month absence of the office owner, her friend made unauthorized entries into the registers over 200 times. During these actions, she entered false information, drawing up fictitious notarial deeds.
The women are charged with several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, including forgery of official documents and organizing and carrying out unauthorized interference in the operation of information systems.
The indictment has already been submitted to the court. If the defendants are found guilty, they face up to 15 years in prison with possible additional restrictions on the right to hold certain positions or engage in professional activities.
