The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) Timur Tkachenko commented on the statement of the mayor of Kiev Vitaliy Klitschko about the allegedly attempting to "unbalanced" power in the capital and "destroy" local self -government. According to Tkachenko, such statements are "very strange" and have no reason.
“Yesterday had a working conversation with him. They discussed what to do, what our priorities as a military administration. But what did you see? Not help, but accusations. Empty charges, ”Tkachenko said on Facebook.
Recently, tension has been growing between the Kyiv City Military Administration, headed by Tkachenko and Klitschko City Hall. Klitschko earlier stated that the KMVA was trying to take over the powers of the capital, actually leveling local self -government. At the same time, Tkachenko insists that his department only performs his functions and does not plan "political shows".
“The kmwa will be for the people of Kyivans to do anything that can not be done by the City Hall. But we will not engage in political shows, ”he emphasized.
One of the issues discussed in the KMVA was the work of public transport during air alarm. According to the current rules, trolleybuses, buses and minibuses stop as soon as the alarm signal. However, this creates significant inconvenience for passengers.
“We are now looking for a comprehensive solution with the military. Of course, the safety of Kyivans is in the first place, ”Tkachenko explained.
The disputes between Klitschko and the military administration have been ongoing since last year. In the context of martial law, the KMVA has received considerable powers, which creates a conflict with the City Hall.
Klitschko repeatedly stated that they were trying to remove him from the management of Kiev, and now he publicly addressed President Vladimir Zelensky, urging to intervene in the situation.
For its part, the KMVA team insists that no "destruction of self -government" is happening, and all steps are aimed only at effective management of the city during the war.
Whether this conflict will intensify in the near future - the development will show.
