In the Kulikiv community of the Chernihiv region, a high-profile scandal broke out over the repair of the road surface, the cost of which amounted to almost 3 million hryvnias. As reported by the StopCor publication, the developing situation involves serious violations by the contractor BF Terasaprimbud LLC and the refusal of the head of the OTG Yulia Posternak to submit an official statement about the crime, which slows down the investigation.
Local residents accuse the contractor of shoddy execution of works and overestimation of volumes and costs. The law enforcement officers found out that the damage caused to the community budget amounted to 2,997,459 hryvnias. However, despite these data, the head of the community refuses to contribute to the investigation, which makes it difficult to conduct a full-fledged investigation.
Journalists of the StopCor publication note that the public and local residents are so outraged by the situation that they even joke about how the law enforcement officers are forced to beg the head of the community to file a statement to compensate for the damage caused by the poor repair.
After StopCor started an investigation, it turned out that the road repair on Galushki 2A lane in Kulykivka does not meet quality standards. Local residents describe it as a "parody of a road", pointing to the thin layer of asphalt and the lack of a proper underlayment. The decision of the Novozavodsk District Court confirms these remarks, pointing out the violation of building regulations and the overestimation of the cost of works.
The reaction from the head of the community Yulia Posternak was not too active. She noted that she could not comment on the situation, as the case has not yet been closed. StopCor repeatedly tried to contact her for details, but all attempts to get a comment were unsuccessful.
The investigation also finds out that BF Terasaprimbud LLC has a history of problems with the quality of road repairs. Information from the EDPR indicates that the contractor knowingly lowered the quality of the works and tried to legalize them through forged documents.
Now the situation is complicated by Julia Posternak's refusal to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, which may lead to a delay in compensation for damages and further development of the case. Whether the communities will succeed in obtaining justice or whether they will be left without proper reparation and compensation remains an open question.
