During consultations in Switzerland held in Davos, the USA and Ukraine reached an agreement on a joint communique. It is noted that the security of Ukraine is recognized as an inseparable part of global and regional security, and the war against it is a key destabilizing factor in the world.
The document called for the intensification of peaceful efforts to end the conflict and overcome the consequences of the crises created by the war. The community must do everything possible to overcome these challenges worldwide.
The communique also states that a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace for Ukraine and the world should be based on the UN Charter, resolutions of the UN General Assembly and key principles of international law.
The meeting was a preparation for the upcoming meeting of leaders of countries and governments, which should create a universal basis for a common vision and ways to achieve a comprehensive, just and durable peace for Ukraine. It is also planned to hold thematic meetings at various levels to prepare detailed proposals for leaders. The meetings are held within the framework of the fourth meeting of advisers on national security and political advisers with the participation of the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will speak at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 16.
