In Ukraine, changes were made to the mobilization procedure, which affected parents with many children. In the "Reserve+" mobile application, which is used to collect data and manage mobilization resources, the rights of this category of citizens to receive deferments from the Current Military Service have been narrowed.
Despite the fact that the law on mobilization gives the right to parents with many children to receive a deferral in the case of having 3 minor children and no child support arrears, Reserve+ pulls information from the register of large families, which means that the right to a deferment is recorded only for those who have 3 children in one marriage.
Thus, parents whose children were born in different marriages lost their right to deferment due to incorrect display in the application.
It is interesting that the register of large families also includes those men who have three children under the age of 23 in one marriage (if these children are studying at vocational schools or universities).
But the law on mobilization does not allow a postponement of this category of men.
Thus, the function of issuing deferments in the Reserve+ application is implemented in violation of the law twice - it does not grant deferment to parents of three children in different marriages, and vice versa - it grants parents of three children from the same family under the age of 23.
