The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office decided to forward to the court an indictment against a 39-year-old man who is suspected of conspiracy and assistance in illegally crossing the border of Ukraine.
According to the prosecutor's office, a resident of Kharkiv, a 39-year-old man, created an illegal channel for the escape of conscripts. He entered into agreements to enter data on evaders into the Shlyach system as volunteers of a charitable foundation. These individuals did not look much like humanitarian workers according to paper documents.
The man charged $12,000 for his "services". In addition, he organized briefings for fugitives, gave them advice and coordinated actions related to illegal border crossing. 
In October 2023, law enforcement officers detained a man in the Saltiv district of Kharkiv while he was receiving money from one of the evaders.
The case will be heard in the Moscow District Court of the city of Kharkiv. The man faces 7 to 9 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property and a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in activities for three years.
