The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported the detention of two suspects in the bombing of a courier with explosives near the TCC in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The crime occurred on February 5, 2024, and the explosion killed the courier and injured 8 employees of the territorial procurement center (TCC).
The suspects were a local drug addict and a 17-year-old student of a city college who were looking for easy money through the popular messenger Telegram. According to the SBU, the student made explosives, which the drug addict was supposed to take to the CCC. However, realizing that he himself could become a victim of the explosion, the suspect decided to hire a courier to deliver the explosives.
The courier, who agreed to such a dangerous job, died in the explosion. While eight employees of the CCC were injured. SBU employees detained the suspects the very next day after the tragedy. However, information about their detention was only made public now.
