An immigrant was detained in Kryvyi Rih who helped the occupiers with the "referendum"

Law enforcement agencies detained a resettled woman in Kryvyi Rih, who in 2022 provided assistance to the Russian occupiers during the illegal "referendum" in the Kherson region. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, a woman from the town of Novokakhovka supported the Russian invaders at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and offered them her help in the war against Ukraine.

During the fake plebiscite, she was a member of the Russian "election committee" in the then captured village of Vesele, Kakhovsky District. Together with the armed invaders, she went around private houses and called on local residents to "vote for joining" the region to the Russian Federation .

After the release of the local community, the collaborator left for Kryvyi Rih, where she tried to hide from justice. Also, while in the city, she received documents for receiving social benefits and housing.

According to the results of the stabilization measures, SBU employees exposed the perpetrator, located her and detained her. She faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

It is worth noting that in the period from September 23 to 27, 2022, in the occupied territories of the "L/DPR" and in parts of the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, the Russian Federation organized "referendums" on the inclusion of these territories in its composition.
