In Kiev, a full-scale system of air interception of enemy drones-Kamikadze was launched with the help of Ukrainian drones-interceptors. The Pure Sky Project has already shown its efficiency in the pilot mode - almost 550 Shakhs flying to the capital have been destroyed in a few months.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA). According to Timur Tkachenko, the initiative is implemented on behalf of President Vladimir Zelensky.
“ It's not just a technical experiment. This is a new generation defensive infrastructure , ”he said.
260 million hryvnias have been allocated for the full deployment of the system. It is not only about the purchase of drones-interceptors, but about the creation of a comprehensive architecture of air protection of the city:

The operators training center is created, where specialists will learn how to control drones-interceptors;

Mobile units are being formed, which will be on duty in the capital and on its approaches;

Coordination with the General Staff, the dog and defense forces for maximum air defense integration.
The pilot phase of the "Clean Sky" project has already proven effective - 550 enemy drones that could cause destruction or take away human lives were intercepted.
“ It's not just numbers. These are preserved hospitals, schools, energy facilities, dwellings, ”the KMVA emphasizes.
Also, work is being done to attract extra -budgetary financing for further scaling of the system.
