The Kyiv authorities have initiated changes to the procedure for official business trips abroad. From now on, all business trips of representatives of local self-government bodies and the Kyiv City State Administration will be subject to mandatory approval by the Kyiv Defense Council. In addition, decisions on the financing of business trips will be made.
Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, reports this.
Kyiv city authorities are considering the possibility of changing the procedure for business trips abroad for officials. It is proposed to introduce a system of approval of departures through the Kyiv Defense Council. As Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), explained, today the departures of KMVA employees and local self-government bodies do not require the approval of the Defense Council, which may lead to improper spending of community funds.
"All business trips are financed from the budget of Kyiv, so every trip must be justified and necessary," Tkachenko emphasized.
Each case of official business trips will be considered individually, and it will also be proposed to involve the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police to control such business trips.
This approach is successfully used by military administrations in other regions of Ukraine, which was taken as an example for the capital.
In addition, the Kyiv Defense Council will also consider changes in the mode of operation of public transport during an air raid, as well as measures to eliminate damaged cars on the city streets after shelling.
