The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti -Corruption Policy, the People's Deputy from the Servant of the People, Anastasia Radina, publicly criticized the head of the armed procurement agency Arsen Zhumadilov for refusing to provide a deputy request for information on defense contracts.
According to the deputy, at the beginning of work in the post, in February 2024, Zhumadilov openly cooperated with Parliament and quickly provided all the requested data. It was about the number of contracts concluded by the agency, as well as their value, depending on the supplier - national, foreign, mediator or special importer. The request also included information on advance payments on such contracts.
In April 2024, Radina sent a second, almost identical request, but received a refusal.
"I asked the updated indicators of exactly the same information that he quickly and in full gave in February ... The difference between them-only that at the first request, Zhumadilov answered promptly, just holding his position, and on the second-not, not, being in the post for four months."
The deputy stressed that it did not require the disclosure of a specific nomenclature or other sensitive information that could damage state security. According to her, the refusal to provide general data on the volume of procurement is an example of an openness of openness in the activity of a defense institution.
As of the time of publication of a public response or reaction from Arsen Zhumadilov or AOP, no AOC has been made public.
