In the Snovsky community of Chernihiv region, a large -scale destruction of the forest was found - 2.5 hectares of trees in the territory of the local cemetery were illegally cut down. The operation was held without any permits, agreements and registration of contracts. Logged wood was taken out on sawmills and sold at a price of about 800 hryvnias per cubic meter, causing damage to hundreds of thousands of hryvnias.
The violation became known due to the call of the indifferent resident who turned to the hot line. However, instead of a quick investigation, the local council forged a decision of the Executive Committee, where there was a point that FOP Apeteko allegedly did the work and received the timber "payment". After the publicity, the contract appeared, but it was not officially registered and absent in the electronic system.
The examination confirmed the falsification of the documents, and the chief accountant of the community provided evidence of illegal schemes. Despite the evidence, the investigation is deliberately tightened to protect the officials involved.
In addition, criminal proceedings have already been opened against the current mayor for official negligence during the purchase of generators. However, court sessions often transfer or avoid decision -making, which is concerned about the public.
This situation has become a striking example of the abuse of power and impunity of officials who neglect the interests of the community and nature.
