The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court (VAKS) has completed a key witness in the case of People's Deputy Lyudmila Marchenko, who is suspected of accepting a bribe for introducing the "Path" system. The testimony has confirmed that the bribe really took place, reports Glavcom with reference to Transparency International Ukraine .
According to the investigation, Lyudmila Marchenko, together with her assistant Anastasia Kolesnik, has agreed to bring a man of conscript age to the "Path" system, which allows to legally cross the state border in wartime.
The witness in court said he had handed over to the assistant bribe in two parts of $ 3,000. Thus, the total amount of illegal benefit was $ 6,000.
We will remind, earlier Marchenko explained that she "thrown money out of the fence" because she was in a state of shock, had problems with health and took medicine. According to the deputy, it could have affected her behavior during detention.
The case is considered by the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court. It concerns not only the fact of bribe, but also the abuse of deputy status and participation in the schemes of departure of men abroad bypassing military restriction.
The trial is ongoing.
