Foreign volunteers - in particular, from Colombia, continue to join the Ukrainian combat units. They arrive in Ukraine as part of organized groups and are already involved in combat operations in the front line, in particular in the Sumy region.
Colombian soldiers, who usually come to fight for financial reward, show high efficiency. In the fighting area, they have already successful assaults of hostile positions, won a trophy weapon and helped in the clearing of several enemy fortifications.
Already in the 47th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces there is a separate company of the Columbians under the conditional name "RUG". Despite the official status of the company, according to its commander for the call sign "Hamlet", the number of fighters allows to conduct a full rotation - some units are involved in battles, others - rest and train.
“We have already brought about 2,000 Columbians to Ukraine. I am not interested in their motivation. The main thing is that they are fighting as they should. In general, in a month we can bring a thousand volunteers. This is a minimum, ”Hamlet says.
The presence of such units indicates the growing role of international volunteers in the confrontation of Russian aggression. They often have combat experience or military training, and their participation in operations significantly enhances Ukrainian assault opportunities.
