Passions have not yet subsided after the bribe of $2.7 million to the previous head of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev and the election of the new head immediately after the unscrupulous Stanislav Kravchenko - yesterday the Supreme Court elected two more unscrupulous judges to the Grand Chamber.
One of them, Olga Stupak , is a judge of the Supreme Court, who lied in her declaration of integrity regarding the purchase of her new BMW for 1.4 million and a 380-square-meter house near Kyiv. meters
The lie, by the way, was recently officially recognized by the new Higher Qualifications Commission for Judges, as well as by the State Government and NABU.
The second, Serhii Pogribny, also has a negative conclusion of the State Administrative Court , in particular, because of decisions with signs of political influence. At one time, he allowed the Odessa coast and the lands of the Kyiv Zoo to be illegally built. Moreover, in some places he made the decision very quickly, in one meeting, 10 days after accepting the claim.
In addition, the judge forbade filming in open court and has a lot of confusion in property, as well as connections with Serhiy Kivalov.
And now - the most interesting. The Grand Chamber, among other things, will put an end to cases challenging the results of the qualification assessment of judges. And it seems that directly under the annulment of the decisions of the Supreme Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court on the dismissal of judges in the Grand Chamber, such a "star" composition is formed. Qualification assessment, we remind you, is one of the priorities of the EU and the USA for Ukraine for the next year. And if the VP of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does let it slip, then we will not see any EU for many, many more years. As well as, presumably, American aid.
All this shows how overdue and overdue the reform of the Supreme Court is. By the way, it is also among the priorities of both the EU and the USA, directly related to aid to Ukraine.
And these are very strong arguments to make it as effective as possible.
