Strike drones will become fully autonomous: the forecast of the special forces commander

The commander of the special unit of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with the call sign "Magyar" made a bold prediction, stating that in the next 6-8 months, attack drones will become fully autonomous and will no longer require human control. This could significantly change the landscape of military technologies and strategies.

AI systems themselves will determine the target for the strike, but the question is how to distinguish a Ukrainian from a Russian soldier.

"Hundreds of artificial intelligence systems are being developed and are being tested now in test modes. In six months, pilots will not be needed. People will be needed who will simply raise the drone a meter above the ground. And then the drone itself will determine, depending on its development, what to hit, how to separate the Zhiguli from the tank, and it will definitely not separate the Ukrainian from the enemy. These challenges should be taken very seriously and investments should be made in technologies," said Magyar.
