Volodymyr Zelenskyy repeated his prediction that Russia plans to mobilize 300,000 troops by June 1, and then launch an offensive at the front.
"Ukraine is preparing for this. We are waiting for appropriate weapons," Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
Also, the president, following the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sirskyi, said that Russia wants to capture Chasiv-Yar by May 9.
It should be noted that the Russian Federation denies plans to announce mobilization in the coming months (at least until mid-July - until the end of conscription). They also doubt the Kremlin's intentions to announce mobilization in NATO.
The Russian Federation also did not announce its intention to take Chasiv Yar until May 9. Judging by the current rate of Russian advance, this is unlikely, unless the Ukrainian Armed Forces withdraw from the city themselves, which is unlikely to happen, since Chasiv Yar is the center of Ukrainian defense in the north of Donetsk region.
