The Government of Ukraine has simplified the procedures for implementing construction projects and installing distributed energy generation. A number of relief measures have been introduced for entrepreneurs:
- The list of required documents for the construction of gas piston and gas turbine plants has been shortened. Now it is not necessary to obtain urban planning documentation, urban planning conditions, a report on the examination of project documentation, the right to perform construction work, and an environmental impact assessment.
- The conditions for connecting consumers to electricity, gas and heating networks have been simplified. The number of documents required for connecting to electricity networks has been reduced, and the terms for issuing technical specifications and considering applications for connecting to gas and heating networks have been shortened.
- Access to financing has been expanded: the “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%” program now also covers the installation of gas turbine, gas piston, and biogas generation plants, and 0% loans have been introduced for the population to install solar panels.
These measures are aimed at simplifying the conditions for infrastructure development and supporting the use of renewable energy sources in Ukraine.
