Ukraine simplifies the construction and installation of distributed energy generation

The Government of Ukraine has simplified the procedures for the implementation of construction projects and the installation of distributed energy generation. A number of reliefs for entrepreneurs have been introduced:

  1. The list of necessary documents for the construction of gas piston and gas turbine plants has been shortened. Now there is no need to obtain urban planning documentation, urban planning conditions, a report on the examination of project documentation, the right to perform construction works, and an environmental impact assessment.
  2. Conditions for connecting consumers to electric, gas and heat networks have been eased. The number of necessary documents for connection to electricity networks has been reduced, as well as the terms of issuing technical conditions and consideration of applications for connection to gas and heat networks have been shortened.
  3. Access to financing has been expanded: the "5-7-9% Available Loans" program now also covers the installation of gas turbine, gas piston and biogas generating units, and 0% loans for the installation of solar panels have been introduced for the public.

These measures are aimed at simplifying the conditions for infrastructure development and supporting the use of renewable energy sources in Ukraine.
