Ukrainians have had the opportunity to try out an innovative service – online marriage registration through the “Diya” application, as reported by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to his statement, it will soon be possible to apply for marriage and register it directly in the “Diya” application, which will eliminate the need to personally visit the relevant institutions. This service is especially relevant for couples who are at a distance from each other, as well as for military personnel. The system will provide a choice of free dates for the ceremony via video link, but not earlier than five days before the planned date.
The marriage certificate will be automatically available in the “Diya” application, and the physical document can be obtained via delivery via Ukrposhta.
Currently, those interested can join the beta test of this service. To do this, you must be of legal age, have an identification code, be single or officially divorced, and have an ID card or biometric passport registered in the “Diya” application.
"There is no such online marriage service anywhere in the world. Sign up for the beta test, share your feedback, and be the first to try this Ukrainian Las Vegas," writes Mykhailo Fedorov.
