Ukraine launched a new compensation mechanism for destroyed housing

The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine has announced the expansion of the eRenovation program, which allows Ukrainians to rebuild their destroyed houses on their own plots of land.

Now, Ukrainians whose private house was destroyed during the war can receive compensation and rebuild it on their own land in any region of Ukraine, with the exception of the temporarily occupied territories.

The Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, emphasized that now, within the framework of compensation, not only is there an opportunity to receive funds for the purchase of a new home, but also to completely rebuild one's house on one's own land, which can be located in any part of Ukraine. with the exception of temporarily occupied territories or war zones.

Payment of compensation will be made in two installments to the bank card isRecovery, which can be opened in partner banks of the program. In the first tranche, citizens will receive 50% of the amount, after which they must submit an interim report.

Money can be spent only in hardware stores and registered contractors who are registered as members of eRecovery. Applications are accepted through the "Diya" application, and their processing takes 30 days.

If the applicant gives a positive answer, the right of ownership of the destroyed house should be terminated, which can be done at the state registrar or notary public. It is noted that the land plot remains with the owner, even if he decides to build a new house in another place.
