UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, together with partners, has launched a hotline to support sexual and reproductive health, where leading medical experts in this field conduct consultations.
By calling the number 3033 (calls are free from all mobile and landline phones), you can get answers to questions about sexual and reproductive health, find out which doctor to contact in specific situations, and also get contacts of professionals in this field. The services can be used by anyone who needs help in matters of sexual and reproductive health, including forced migrants, pregnant women and medical workers of various specializations for consultations with colleagues on certain narrow-profile issues.
All consultations are provided free of charge, anonymously and confidentially. The hotline is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00, and you do not need to make an appointment to speak with specialists.
Mobile gynecological teams, introduced by the UNFPA initiative in remote regions of Ukraine, are also available at the number 3033. Currently, these teams provide free and confidential services in 23 regions of Ukraine, such as medical examination by a gynecologist, ultrasound examination, electrocardiogram, express tests to determine the level of sugar in blood, hepatitis, syphilis and HIV, as well as consultations on women's health and HIV infections.
According to statistics, hotline 3033, launched during martial law, is particularly relevant. Since its launch, 45% of calls related to the work of mobile teams, 12% of people were interested in general consultations on sexual and reproductive health, and 43% called to receive information about places to receive obstetric and gynecological care. Yuliya Davydova, an expert at hotline 3033, notes that 30-40% of appeals come from women with disabilities who need counseling on sexual and reproductive health, given their limited mobility when moving.
