Ukrainian absolute world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has dropped to second place in the ranking of the world's strongest boxers regardless of weight category (P4P) according to the authoritative magazine The Ring. The changes were the result of fights that took place on September 13 and 14.
The first place in the ranking is now occupied by American Terence Crawford, who rose from third position thanks to a victory over Mexican Saul Alvarez on the night of September 14. Crawford took the WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF light middleweight titles from his opponent, becoming the first boxer in history to win the absolute championship in three weight categories.
Oleksandr Usyk, who held the top spot for a year and a half, is now in second place in the rankings. The absolute world champion in the second lightest weight, Naoya Inoue, held on to one position, dropping to third place despite his victory over Murodzhan Akhmadaliyev of Uzbekistan.
