Over the past month, Ukraine's car fleet has been replenished with 12.4 thousand passenger cars with gasoline engines. This is 43 percent more than in the same period last year. This is reported by specialists of UkrAvtoprom.
Of the total number of imported and registered cars, 2.3 thousand units were new cars, which is 27 percent more than last year. The main part of the market was traditionally formed by used cars - 10.1 thousand cars, which means an increase of 48 percent.
Among the new gasoline models, the compact crossover Renault Duster was in the greatest demand. Ukrainians purchased 223 of these cars in a month. The Hyundai Tucson was not far behind with 203 registrations. Next in the ranking were the Mazda CX-5, which was chosen by 187 buyers, the Škoda Kodiaq with 116 cars sold, and the Škoda Octavia, which was registered 108 times.
In the market of imported used gasoline cars, the leadership is maintained by the tried-and-tested Volkswagen Golf model, which with an indicator of 691 cars has again become the most popular among Ukrainians. The second position was taken by the Volkswagen Tiguan crossover - 587 units. The third and fourth places were shared by the Audi Q5 and Nissan Rogue, each of which was chosen by 519 buyers. The top five most popular was closed by the Audi A4 with a result of 336 cars.
Experts note that the growing interest in gasoline cars is due to both a wider offer on the secondary market and the relative affordability of such models compared to electric and hybrid cars.
